My Ruby on Rails Videogame Database:
I've had a big problem for quite a few years now in that I have
difficulty remembering just exactly what I have in my computer and
video game collection.
At the end of 2007 I started looking at a number of new web frameworks
as part of a project at work I didn't much care for Django and
Rails struck me as a rather neat and flexible.
Anyway, over a few months on and off I bashed together a simple web app to track and catalogue my gaming collection.
It's hosted on JRuby and MySQL 5, and though I've done quite a bit more
learning since I did this little app, I'm still rather pleased at how
well it works.
As a guest, you can view the collection, but all methods which modify the catalogue are locked down.
