|Edit System Details|
A NEC PC-9821AN computer bought from buyee.jp in spring 2019. Equipped with a Pentium 90 processor, 4x 72pin SIMMs (30MB total RAM), 2x 3.5 FDD and several C-Bus expansion cards. It is very clean inside.
The cards include:
1x Ethernet (Buffalo LGY-98)
1x SCSI II (IO-Data 982A)
1x ??? (TEAC IFE-MKE)
1x SVGA (Canopus Power Window S3 928 with 2MB)
I've also sourced a Roland MPU-PC98 II midi interface card and have removed the unknown TEAC card to install it.
First power on of the system after it arrived from Japan. The error message says that no OS is installed on the internal drive.
Output from the OSSC scan convertor showing the intput frequency of the onboard PC-98 graphics. It does a really good job of scaling it to fit my 1920x1200 screen, including scanlines.
Formatting a new-old stock 340MB IDE hard drive to make sure everything works.
Booted from a DOS 6.2 floppy and about to start the install to hard drive.
